The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), Amélia Domingues Kuvíngua, received Mr Onuma Toshiyuki, candidate for the Presidency of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), nominated by the Government of Japan, in a courtesy audience. During the meeting, issues such as the main points of Japan's candidacy, based on the intensification of the ICAO´s theme ‘No Country Left Behind’, the continuous training of human capital, the increase in the financial and technological capacities of States, as well as the effective implementation mechanism to assist States in the search for sustainable global solutions that promote the equitable development of civil aviation, were discussed. ANAC reiterates its commitmentin following the international standards and guidelines defined by ICAO, with a view to ensuring the effectiveness, safety and positive performance of the national aviation system. |
