A working meeting was held between the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Luanda on the 4th of April, at ANAC's premises at Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN), as part of the audit carried out on TAAG from the 3rd to the 4th of April.

The meeting was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences that are fundamental for strengthening auditing and transparency practices.

On the occasion, the host team, led by the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Amélia Domingues Kuvíngua, did the honours and presented an overview of the evolution of the entire civil aviation system in Angola, highlighting the infrastructure aspect, emphasising the construction and modernisation of airports, as well as the development of the national regulatory framework in search for better results.

It is important to mention that EASA is responsible of guaranteeing the safety and environmental protection of European civil aviation. It is responsible, among numerous tasks, of issuing certificates to aeroplanes and their components, as well as promoting the highest safety standards in the aviation sector, with inspection being part of the ongoing actions that guarantee compliance with international civil aviation standards.
The continuous work carried out by ANAC represents the Angolan Executive's commitment in order to guarantee a safer, more efficient and sustainable aviation sector, aligned with the global standards.
